How It Works
Functional Patterns corrects posture, gait and movement patterns to achieve pain-free movement — training the body according to its natural functions: standing, walking, running and throwing.
Where traditional fitness and rehab train muscles in isolation, we treat the body as one connected system and correct movement at the root.

What Sets It Apart
A scientifically grounded, results-oriented method that addresses the root causes of pain and dysfunction.
The body is one interconnected system. Every muscle and joint has to work together for balanced movement.
We train for efficient, biomechanically sound movement that carries into daily life — not short-term cosmetic gains.
By understanding how forces act on the body, we move in ways that reduce wear and tear on joints and tissues.
Proven across professional athletes and people with long-standing chronic pain — succeeding where other methods stall.
Our Training Process
No two sessions are the same. Here's the foundation we work from.

We start with the gait cycle as our primary assessment tool. Whatever your fitness level, you'll step onto the treadmill. If you're in too much pain to run, walking still reveals valuable information about how your body moves.

We take detailed postural photos to see how dysfunctional movement has affected your standing posture. They're also a visual benchmark — the "before" you'll compare your progress against.

We analyse your gait footage in slow motion against high-performing movers to pinpoint dysfunction — a hip drop from a disengaged core, or rotating more on one side than the other. This shows us exactly where your body is compensating.

Based on your gait and posture, we design exercises that target your areas of dysfunction — building strength, improving symmetry and rehydrating the fascia throughout your body. We address root causes, not just symptoms.

A customised myofascial release protocol targets long-term adhesions that restrict tension distribution. Unlike stretching — which can destabilise joints — this improves tissue elasticity and relieves pain without adding instability.

Lifestyle factors like diet and stress play a real role in healing. We discuss these to identify anything else contributing to your pain or dysfunction — building a clear roadmap to better movement.
First Few Sessions
For your first 10 sessions or so, new movements will feel foreign. We heavily cue every movement — tilting, shifting and rotating to switch on the right muscles, moving slowly for symmetry and safety.
Once It Clicks
After around 10 sessions you'll have a firm grasp of the concepts and a stronger mind-body connection — feeling more connected, coordinated and confident in your workouts and daily movement.
Your Result
Meaningful results take time — usually between 3 months and 3 years depending on severity. Expect changes in posture, pain, muscle tone, mental clarity and how you move through everyday life.
